Q : Please give us a short introduction about you and your career background
A : I’m an experienced General Manager with almost 20 years’ experience in the hospitality industry.
After my Master in Tourism and hospitality management in 2006 that I completed in France, I travelled to the United Kingdom to improve my level of English. My first job was as F&B team member in Ibis Cardiff Center where I learnt all the operational, financial, Hygiene standards about catering in the Accor group.
After 6 years in the Accor group and following some job transfer and promotion within the United Kingdom, I became General Manager in the ibis hotel family. With the multi-skilled culture in the UK, I learnt a lot about operation but as well in commercial and distribution in an international hotel chain.
In 2016, I decided to explore another part of the world and my first job assignation was in Bali, Indonesia. The place I was dreaming to live and work as I travelled previously several time to discover this island.
Then I worked as Resident Manager in the popular and flagship Novotel Bangkok Ploenchit and its 370 rooms located in the heart of Bangkok. Followed by Pullman Hanoi in North Vietnam where I was acting GM for some time until Covid strikes our hospitality industry.
In 2021 during the Covid crisis, I became cluster General Manager of Novotel Marina Sriracha and Novotel Koh Si Chang near Pattaya, 2 beautiful properties on the seaside in the gulf of Thailand.
My pregnant wife and I are now thrilled and thankful to be in Phuket, joining a vibrant and energic team at Novotel Phuket Vintage Park. I’m passionate about making our guest experience unforgettable with personalized experience throughout their journey. Hotel finance and profitability is also my priority to ensure the success of the hotel and the continuous enhancement of the hotel asset.

A : The key today to lead a successful hotel is all about guest experience. People expectations changed nowadays, they look for unique, personalized experience. Something unique, memorable they cannot experience in their normal life such as personalized amenities chosen from their known preferences, a exclusive personalize service. All the guest journey from booking to guest departure need to be scrutinize to ensure an experience “cousu main”.
It also requires a strong knowledge and capability in finance to ensure a sustainable revenue and profitability growth. It will allow the hotel to stay very competitive within the shared market.
