About Green Key Certification

The Green Key is a leading international eco-label awarded to tourism establishments that demonstrate high standards of environmental management and sustainability education. The certification is based on strict, internationally recognized criteria covering areas such as energy, water, waste, cleaning practices, and staff and guest awareness.

Compliance is verified through a comprehensive application process and independent on-site audits. Valid for one year, the Green Key certification is currently held by more than 4,000 establishments in over 60 countries.

The program is administered by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), a global non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sustainable development through education and certification.
